FAQ’s
How does the group shoot work?
We book up to 6 girls for the day, so that is why we call it a group shoot, but you are actually going to be in your photographs all by yourself. And don't worry, you do not need to know anything about modeling or posing to participate! Anyone can do it! We will help guide you throughout the whole session. But if you want to practice posing and pin-up facial expressions beforehand, check out Cherry Dollface's YouTube videos here!
Please keep in mind that there may be other women there at the same alternating getting their hair, makeup and photos done. There is a “no guest” and “no boys” policy to protect the privacy of all clients.
This is a one time offer and the sessions are being offered at a highly discounted rate. The bookings are on a first come, first serve basis and will only be reserved once we have payment of the deposit.
***Please note that the photo shoots on Sunday 5/7 will take place at Sadie Mae Pin-Up Studio in Farmingdale, NY (not at Paper Doll Vintage in Sayville). Once you book, we will email you the address and directions.
What is included in my package?
You will receive hair styling and makeup application by THE Cherry Dollface! The package also includes a photo shoot and 5 edited high resolution digital files from your shoot. The total cost of the shoot per person is $300 plus NY state sales tax ($325.88). You will have the option of buying more digital images later if you would like.
How do I book a session?

We will email you with a list of available time slots and a link to send the deposit. Once you choose your desired time slot we will email you to confirm and you must send payment within 24 hours, otherwise that time slot will be released to the next person. A deposit of $150 plus NY state sales tax ($162.94) is required to book your spot. The balance of $150 plus NY state sales tax ($162.94) must be paid when you arrive to the shoot.
What should I bring?
One pin-up style outfit, complete with your own shoes and accessories. You can either wear a pin-up dress, or separates (skirt or high-waisted shorts with a shirt), retro bathing suit or lingerie. If you wear a skirt or dress, we also recommend wearing thigh highs and a garter for a classic peekaboo pin-up look. Please make sure you also wear a strapless bra if the straps would be showing with your outfit. If you choose to wear lingerie or a bathing suit for your shoot, please bring something to wear over it that will be easy to change out of after you get your hair and makeup done.
I HIGHLY recommend shopping for your pin-up outfit, shoes and accessories at Paper Doll Vintage Boutique. They have a fantastic selection, plus the owner and staff are all so sweet and helpful! They will be offering 15% off for anyone with a paid, reserved spot for the shoot too! There are two locations:

You should also bring your own mascara, false lashes, concealer, foundation, and powder in case of color match issues.
How should I prepare for my session?
Please arrive with a clean, moisturized face. Your hair should be washed the day before and blown out smooth, if possible. Try not to use a flat iron or any product in your hair.
Fingernails and toenails should be manicured. Pink or red polish is best, but the color choice is really up to you.
Please steam or iron your outfit before the shoot if necessary. Wrinkles will not be retouched out.
If you need to change into your outfit at the shoot, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to change.

How long is the shoot?
We aim for a total of 90 minutes for makeup and hair plus approximately 30 minutes for the photo shoot. Please note that if you are late it will cut your photo shoot short. Bookings are set for at one and a half hours spots and they will overlap. As soon as one person is done with their makeover the shooting will begin and the next person starts their makeover while we are shooting.
Will there be other people there?
Yes, this is an "women only" open studio space with a closed changing room. It is very important for us to let you know that this is a women only set. No men will be allowed to accompany a person during the shoot. While you are getting your photos done, there will be other girls getting their hair and makeup, so please keep that in mind when you are booking. If privacy is an issue for you, then we recommend booking a private shoot. (Although our private shoot packages include hair and makeup, Cherry Dollface and her team will not be available for those shoots. They are based out of California.)
When will I get my images?
About a week after the photo shoot, I will email you with a link to your private online proof gallery. It is from those images that you will choose your favorite 5 photos to have retouched. (You are welcome to purchase more if you like more than 5!) Once you email me with your favorites, it will take about 3 weeks to receive your images through a digital download.
Other Things You Should Know...
We will have photography releases for you to sign in case we would like to use the images in promotional material. Please let us know if you would prefer us not to use your images.
Who will be taking my photos?
Sara Miller, the owner and photographer of Sadie Mae Pin-Up Studio will be photographing all of the pin-up girls after Cherry Dollface does the hair and makeup! In the rare case that Sara is unable to make it to the shoot due to an emergency, we reserve the right to provide a substitute photographer.
Cancellation Terms
If you cancel your booking:
Once you email us with your desired time slot and send the deposit, you are locked into that slot.
If you cancel your time slot, you will only be refunded the deposit if someone else books and pays for that same time slot. If you do not show up to your appointment, you will not receive any refund.
If we are obliged to cancel or reschedule your booking:
All efforts will be made to come to another date agreement but if that is not possible, a full refund will be issued for the amount of the deposit only.
Indemnity
The client agrees to hold harmless Cherry Dollface, Dominique Maciejka, or Sara Miller and any of their staff or teams from any liability from allergic reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur during the session.
